So it’s like 4 in the morning and I just came back from the Design Indaba launch party at city hall. where I would have stayed longer if my friend Mbali had not left whilst I was trying my talk my way backstage. It was actually a nice party. The only issue I had was the VIP situation. Naturally I hustled my way onto that VIP situation, but only for the free drinks. In principle, I hate all VIP sleaze. VIP sections are terribly unprogressive, so 90s. and it’s city hall, a public space.
