PART 1: MISSIBABA
PART 2: ANELISA MANGCU
I metioned on one of my previous posts that i was terribly exhausted (read hungover) on Thursday after partying it up in Jozi on Wednesday night, so i won't go on about that again. But on Thursday evening I had to go and check out the Missibaba launch because well... i am a total fan. I've said before that I really do love the things Chloe Townsend can do with leather and i am also fascinated by the rise and rise of her label. The only downer was that being there reminded me of lost my Missibaba visor, all because i was such a drunken mess at the AFI fashion week afterparty, and it doesn't seem like she makes them anymore. I hope whoever has it enjoys it, and then grows a terrible rash on their forehead that stays for a lifetime. Actually i take that back, bad karma and all, or maybe not, whatever. Anyway, I absolutely love her work, i'm not gonna say much about the range i think the pics speak for themselves.
Later that evening i also just had to battle through my 'exhaustion' to go and check out the opening of Anelisa Mangcu's (in the yellow skirt) exhibition 'The Moments Amidst the Chaos' at Rococo Studio Gallery. At a 131 days before this opening, Anelisa started a blog called 131 days to track document her journey as she prepared for the exhibition. I follow her blog and i have been looking forward to the day, so i really couldn't let bad alcohol choices from the previous evening get in the way and thank gawd i went. Just to make ya extra jealous she is only 19. Congrats Anelisa, looking forward to your future. Check out her blog to learn more about her and also check out this feature Elle blog did on/with her recently. Enjoy the pics skattie, while i recover from the exhaustion brought on by last night's choices
