TIME OUT /// SUN, FUN AND FOOD AT THE WKND SOCIAL

Amidst all the fashion, art and street culture events happening in Joburg at the moment, we took a bit of a 'time-out' on Sunday to enjoy the company of old and new friends, and Jozi's pretty young things at the ever popular WKND SOCIAL. This time around it was held at King Kong in Troyeville, Sunglass Hut also came on board for the event and all the guests left with R500 vouchers, although I did see some peeps grabbing extra vouchers for themselves wherever they saw an empty seat, I ain't gon name you but you know who you is, and damn you bitches for getting to those extra vouchers before me, you hustler you. Anyway, well done to the WKND Social girls for hooking that collabo. Firstly I must say that in my opinion, and it is just my opinion, the boys totally brought it when it came to effort at str.crd this year, and I love that so many of them did in pairs. Sure, if one wants to nitpick you can get all technical, and find the A$ap Rocky lookalikes, the ‘street etiquette’ blog lookalikes and the Kanye West lookalikes, but no need to be a shitpicking party pooper. Today I’m loving the “Imma co-ordinate with my best mate” vibe. Love y’all, love your work, hope you win.

As for the girls, all I can say is, “DO BETTER!”, because you know, boys are totally the new girls right now. To quote the great wise Kanye West, "P***y can't be your only hustle"

Last night was opening night for fnb art fair at the Sandton Convention Centre, and today I'm hanging like a motherfucker. Too much fun, so much art. Today the fair opens up to the public, and will run until Sunday. Go check it out. Would love to write more, alas, no energy, must rest, last night was EVERYTHING!
